Şeyh Şamî Mosque and Tomb
Located in the center of Sulakyurt district, the mosque was built in the 15th century by Sheikh Şami, the founder of the district. Evliya Çelebi, while mentioning Sheikh Şami in his Travel Book, mentioned that his real name was Hamza and that he was affiliated with the Bayrami sect, and mentioned Sheikh Şami's miracles. The mosque has a rectangular plan and the walls are painted white. It is covered with a hipped roof and tiles. The legs on which the roof sits are wooden. The minaret of the mosque with a single balcony was built with cut stones and preserves its original features. The tomb is made of stone material and is located inside the mosque.
