Seyid İbrahim Bilal Tomb

Date AD 675. Period of Caliph Omar Bin Abdulaziz. The Islamic army besieged Istanbul in order to receive the good news of the "Conquest of Istanbul" by our Prophet (saas). In order to support this siege, Hz. The ship of Sayyid İbrahim Bilal, descendant of Hüseyin(ra), is caught in a severe storm in the Black Sea. Struggling with the raging waves of the Black Sea for days and not accustomed to the sea yet, His Holiness Seyyid İbrahim Bilal and Alperens are forced to anchor in the hungry, thirsty and tired Sinop Port. They pay their taxes according to the conditions of the day and get accommodation permission from Sinop Tekfuru. Sayyid Ibrahim Bilal retired to rest with his tired and sick soldiers. Although Sinop Tekfuru gave permission at first, he reverses this decision and organizes a treacherous night raid. many Alperen were martyred in heroic battle at the site of today's Alaaddin Mosque, which was built by Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat after the city was captured by the Seljuks. Sayyid İbrahim Bilal, surrounded by Tekfur and his soldiers, wants to get rid of this raid by smashing the enemy. While fighting to get out of the square gate in the district where the Government House is located today, Tekfur's blessed head with a sword blow at the most intense moment of the conflict, just like his ancestor Hz. Like Hussein, he separates from his body and falls to the ground. He immediately took his severed head under his arm and collided with the place where his tomb is now, at a distance of about 700-800 m. He places his head on the ground with care, himself leans towards the qibla as if his head has never been cut off, and surrenders his soul to the Most Merciful. This sad event is watched with amazement by the people there. Seeing this obvious miracle, Tekfur immediately stopped the fighting and regretted killing such a great person, treats the wounded Muslims well and allows the martyrs to be buried according to Islamic traditions.
