Sidan Su Kemeri

Çukurca center is located in the Bey Neighborhood, in the Sidan Valley. You can reach the aqueduct from Çukurca center in 45 minutes by stabilized vehicle road and the rest by walking path. It was built outside a residential area inside the valley at the lower part of the Haskel cliffs. It was built on the ridge on the northern side of the Sidan Stream, leaning against the rocks. It is located on a canal of approximately 5 km, which transfers the water taken from the stream in Bey Mahallesi to the gardens in Narlı. The channel can be watched from place to place, but today it is largely lost. The aqueduct extends in an east-west direction, leaning against the cliffs rising steeply on the northern ridge. It consists of four arch openings and walls continuing to the east and west of it. The aqueduct and the walls are a structure shaped according to the topography and the rocks. It is 68 m long and 10 m high with the walls, and the part where the main aqueducts are located is 22.68 m long. The arches resting on the walls on the sides and on three 1.60 m wide feet in the middle are in the form of irregular pointed arched openings. The feet rise on a wall that forms a 2.00 m pedestal with the bottom. Arch spans are 3.40 m, and their heights vary. The canal passes over the wall approaching 1.00 m at the top.
