Şifaiye Madrasa
Şifaiye Madrasa is one of the most important madrasas where patients were treated and medical education was also carried out during the Seljuk Period. The part that has survived to the present day is the largest hospital in Anatolia. It was built by Izzeddin Keykavus I in 1217/18. Through the magnificent crown door, the courtyard with four iwans and a portico is entered. There are sun and moon symbols on the crown door, and reliefs in the form of male and female heads on the main iwan. With the burial of Izzettin Keykavus I in 1220, the southern iwan was converted into a tomb.
