Sinop Mufti Kaleyazısi Mehmet Ağa Mosque
Its construction was started by Mehmed Ağa in 1651, it was repaired and renovated by the people in 1909, and a stump minaret made of cut stone was added to the northwest corner. In addition, it is estimated that the rubble stone walls on the front of the mosque were covered with wood during this repair. Today, the building, whose front facade is on the 1st floor and the roof pediment is wooden, gives the appearance of a wooden house from the front. The building is a typical example of the wooden roof and rectangular planned mosque scheme seen in Sinop during the Ottoman period. The mihrab and pulpit of the building, which was repaired in 2009, are not original. There are 6 graves in the burial ground on the south side of the building.
