Sivas Aşık Veysel Museum

The house of Folk Poet Âşık Veysel Şatıroğlu, located in the Sivrialan Village of the Şarkışla District of Sivas Province, was expropriated by the Ministry of Culture in 1979 and opened to the public as a museum in 1982. In the museum, Âşık Veysel's personal belongings, photographs of Aşık Veysel and works published about Aşık Veysel are exhibited.

In order to keep the memory of Âşık Veysel alive, festivals are held every year between 9-11 July in Sivas and in the Sivrialan Village of Şarkışla, as well as the commemoration ceremonies of Âşık Veysel.
