Sivas Ataturk and Congress Museum
According to its epitaph in Sivas Museum, the building was built in 1892 by Sivas Governor Mazlum Paşazade. The building, which is one of the beautiful examples of the late Ottoman period civil architecture of the 19th century, has three floors. Stone was used on the exterior of the building with an inner courtyard, and wooden material was used on the interior. It was built by Met Memduh Bey as the Civil High School.
The building, which was used as headquarters by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the Representative Committee for a while, and which was then a Sultani (high school); gained a historical identity with the Sivas Congress meeting here between September 4-12.
The building, which was used as a school until 1981, was opened to visitors as a museum in 1990 after its restoration, display and arrangement.
