St. Helen Church

St. Helen Church or St. Helena Church is a Catholic church located in Izmir, Turkey. It takes its name from Constantine I's mother, Helena. Built in 1904 by French architect Raymond Charles Péré, St. Helen Church is the first Catholic church in Karşıyaka. Sultan II. It was built with the permission of Abdulhamid. In 1968 the interior of the church was restored. The Aegean Sea earthquake in October 2020 caused damage to the church. St. Helen Church was built in neogothic style. The church, which has a triangular pedimented entrance, has a high central space and low side naves. The church has pointed-arched windows and statues of St. Helen and St. Constantine.
