St. Paul
St. Paul Church or St. Paul Memorial Museum is located in Tarsus district of Mersin province. According to tradition, St. Paul's Church was built in 1102, but the current structure, a domeless basilica, was built (or rebuilt) much later in 1862 by the Orthodox Arab-Greek Community. St. Paul's Symposium and Mass was organized by the Vatican in 1992-1993. The church, which is considered holy by Christians, is visited as a place of pilgrimage. The total area of the building is 460 m2. The building material is usually cut stone and the internal dimensions are 19.30 m × 17.50 m.
St. Paul's Church, together with St. Paul's Water Well, was submitted as a candidate for the World Heritage List on February 25, 2010.
