Sultan Melik Tomb

The Sultan Melik Tomb, designed for Melik Gazi, the founder of the Mengücek Principality, which ruled for a long time in and around Erzincan, offers a picturesque view on the banks of the Euphrates in the Kemah district of Erzincan. The historical tomb, which draws attention with its 2-storey structure and 5-cylinder black dome built with cut stones, is estimated to have been built between 1071 and 1228. After visiting the Sultan Melik Tomb, which was restored in accordance with its original form in 1991, you can also examine its panoramic views on the Euphrates River.
