Sultan Selim Mosque
Sultan Selim Mosque is a mosque located in Konya, Turkey. It was completed in the 16th century during the Ottoman period.
The mosque was built in 1558 by II. Selim when he was a prince who served as a sanjak chief. Although the mosque was built while Mimar Sinan was the chief architect, the structure is not included in any of his autobiographies. Mimar Sinan provides the renovation of only one nursing home in Konya. The building was completed in 1570 after Selim became the sultan. It was later repaired three times in 1685, 1816 and 1914.
