Surp Boğos Church

Surp Boğos Church is an Armenian church located in Sarıyer district of Istanbul province in Turkey. Following the death of Boğos Amira Bilezikçi, one of the mint directors, the land in Büyükdere and the small wooden chapel built on it in 1847 were given to the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate of Istanbul, in accordance with his will. In 1859, the foundation purchased the land next to the church and started building a new church when the wooden church did not meet the needs. has started. A stone church, a priest's house, a school and four wooden houses were built in place of the wooden church, which was destroyed in 1882. The church was reopened for worship in 1885.
