Terzibaba Cemetery and Mausoleum
Mystic Terzibaba, whose real name is Muhammed Vehbi, is known by this name among the people because his profession is tailoring. With the burial of Terzibaba, who died in 1848, in the Kaledibi Cemetery, which is the largest cemetery in Erzincan, the name of the cemetery was changed to Terzibaba Cemetery. The mausoleum is reached by a four-step staircase. At the entrance of the building, there is a two-column and lead-covered rain cloak. The interior of the tomb, which has no ornamental elements, consists of a plain, octagonal flat cover. There are cross iron cages on the door and windows of the tomb. The largest of the two sarcophagi in the tomb belongs to Terzibaba, and the other belongs to one of Terzibaba's closest followers. The tomb, which was destroyed as a result of a fire, was rebuilt as reinforced concrete in the 1980s. The cemetery was built of cut stone, which is a characteristic of Ottoman architecture. The tomb and cemetery are frequently visited by the public.
