Tigran Honents Church
The church, which was built on a terrace-shaped land rising on the place where Mığmığ Stream meets Arpaçay River in the northeast of Ani Ruins, was built in 1215 by Tigran Honents, a merchant from Ani. This church is particularly striking with its interior frescoes. In the interior walls and dome of the church, there are frescoes that symbolize the events from the birth of Jesus to his death.
