Tomb of the Prophet Enüş

In religious sources, it is stated that Enuş (a.s) is the son of Şit (a.s), that is, Hz. It is stated that he is the grandson of Adam (a.s). In some sources, Enus (a.s) was a prophet and after the death of his father, he took over the government and ruled his people and lived for 705 years.

In the Sâlname-i Diyarbekir dated 1316/1898, it is said that Enuş (a.s), who is among the prophets and companions whose graves are in Diyarbakır, is the son of Şit (a.s) and his tomb is located in Otluca (Kızılca) village of Ergani. Otluca (Kızılca) is approximately 16-17 km away on the southern part of the Ergani-Çermik road.

The tomb is located in the courtyard of the mosque to the west of the village. The tomb consists of two parts. The tomb building is entered through the eastern entrance gate. In the stone found inside the tomb, “Yerd. b. Mehlail b. Kinan b. Enûş b. Seth b. Adam" is said to have been written. The tomb is always open to visitors.

Due to the tomb of Enuş (a.s), the name Enuş is one of the common names in the district. According to some sources, it is said that the person lying in the tomb is Abbas, not Enus, and in some sources, it is said that Enuş and Abbas are the same person.
