Tugay Hatun Tomb
It is 100 meters from the Gülabi Bey Mosque in the Çarşı District of the Erzincan Kemah District. It is in a garden owned by a private person in the south west. Tugay Hatun is the wife of Hüdabende Mehmet. There is no record of when and why Sultan Mehmet Harbende came to Kemah, why his wife Tugay Hatun came to Kemah and how long she lived there. It is thought that Tugay Hatun Cupola was built in the 13th century during the Mengücek Principality Period. The tomb is made of cut stone, has a two-storey cylindrical body and is covered with a pyramidal cone. The tomb has an elaborate stone work. Curved branches, Rumi, Seljuk crosses, plaited floral motifs, palmettes surround the body of the tomb in four rows. In addition, a cornice of palmettes surrounds the building along the roof. There is a rich decoration on the door edges and eaves. The entrance door also has a magnificent stone work and has an inscription on it. Door edges and eaves are decorated with a very flamboyant embroidery technique. The lower floor consists of four columns and four semi-domes.
