Vanodokya Fairy Chimneys

The fairy chimneys that emerged as a result of the erosion of rocks, rainwater and wind from the volcanic Yiğit Mountain in Yavuzlar Village, 33 kilometers from the center of Başkale, are reminiscent of Cappadocia in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir. The fairy chimneys, called "Vanadokya" by the locals and hosting many local and foreign tourists every year, especially in the summer, also attract attention with the many tunnels and caves that are meters long and have emerged as a result of rainfall in recent years.
