Yağıbasan Madrasa
Yağıbasan Madrasa is one of the madrasas built in Tokat and Niksar during the Danishmend Principality. It is known as the first madrasah built by the Turks in Anatolia. Yağıbasan Madrasah has survived to the present day only with the remains of the wall. The entrance door of the madrasah on the south-north side was shifted towards the southwest. The entrance door, which is far from monumentality, gives access to the vaulted room, while there is access to the courtyard covered with a dome. In addition, there is an unsymmetrical situation in the madrasa leaning against the mountainside slope. According to the inscription of the madrasa dated 1247, it was built by Nizameddin Yağıbasan in the XII. It was built in the middle of the century and underwent extensive repairs in 1247. Over time, ironworks, shops, warehouses, etc., were built by the people of the region. used for the purposes.
