Yanık Mosque
Yanik Mosque is a mosque located in the Halil Efendi District of Ardahan.
It is not known exactly when and by whom the mosque was built. After the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War, known as the 93 War, the mosque was looted and devastated by the Russian army and accompanying Armenian troops who entered Ardahan. In 1915, around 300 Turkish-Muslim mosques gathered in the mosque by Armenian gangs were burned together with the mosque.
