Yeşilırmak Mosque
The construction works of a mosque with 4 minarets, 8 balconies and 3,000 people, which will cost 4 million TL, have been completed to a large extent in Tokat. The construction of Karşıyaka Central Mosque, the foundation of which was laid in November 2013, is on the rise next to the Karşıyaka District Büyük Tokat Hotel. Karsiyaka Central Mosque Construction and Sustenance Association President Mehmet Samur noted that the first mosque in Tokat, with 4 minarets and 8 balconies, was built on a 1224 square meter living area. Stating that the basement of the mosque was opened for worship during Ramadan, Samur said that 3,000 people can pray at the same time, when the mosque where the tarawih prayers are completed. Stating that the mosque, which was built with the help of philanthropists, will cost approximately 4 million TL, Samur added that the construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
