Yılanlı Church

There are many religious motifs and frescoes in Yılanlı, which is the church that receives the most visitors in this region due to its location. The frescoes are dated to the ninth century or between the first half of the 11th century and the 12th century.

It has a cross plan, barrel vault and a single apse. There are monk tombs inside the chapel on the north wall. The church was named after the scene on the west wall of four naked sinful women attacked by snakes.
