Yörük Village
This "Museum Village", which is 11 km away from Safranbolu, can be reached by the Safranbolu-Araç highway. Due to the fact that it is a real Turkish-Turkmen Village and the magnificence of its historical structures, it was taken under protection by the Ministry of Culture in 1997. It is a small model of Safranbolu. There are 93 registered works.
The nomadic communities living in the Safranbolu region in the 16th century are called "Yörükan-Taraklı" or "Yörükan-ı Taraklıborlu". Safranbolu was two separate districts during the Ottoman Empire, Medina-i Taraklıborlu located in today's Safranbolu district center, and Yörükan-ı Taraklıborlu, which was established for the tribes whose center is today's Yörük Village. It is known that Anadolu Beylerbey, whose two town centers are in Kütahya, is connected to the Bolu Sanjak.
