Yozgat Fatih Mosque

The mosque, which is located in Istanbulluoğlu District, is in the northwest of the Çapanoğlu (Great) Mosque, 150 meters away from it, and the church, which has been used for various purposes for a long time, was converted into a mosque in 1996 with the name Fatih Mosque. The sanctuary is divided into three naves with two rows of tripods in the east-west direction. The naves are covered with barrel vaults. The middle nave is wider. The columns sit on high square pedestals. They have thin caps with voluteed corners. There is an apse that does not protrude in the east, and there are pastaforiome cells on the sides. On the west, there is a U-shaped mahfili extending like a gallery towards the south and north wings. A mihrab niche was opened on the south façade. Large round arched lower and upper windows on the vertical axis illuminate the interior. There is a three-part narthex in the west. The narthex is covered with a flat ceiling. Today, the narthex opens out with three round arches covered with a glass front. The narthex has a double-storey exterior that overflows in a rectangular shape to the south and north. To the northwest of the narthex is the bell tower. Fatih Mosque has a hipped roof and a thin eaves profile. There is no decoration inside or outside the mosque.
