Zara Carsi (Square) Mosque
Zara is in the central market.
It has a rectangular plan in the north-south direction. In the main worship area, there are domes on four columns and naves that are long on their vertical axes and covered with oval domes on the dome and cross axes. There is a minaret with a double balcony and cut stone masonry in the northwest corner.
Since it was called Zaralı zade Mehmet Pasha Mosque in the records of that time, it is estimated that this person built the mosque. Considering that Mehmet Pasha died in 1755, the mosque was probably built around 1750. The mosque, which has a rectangular plan in the north-south direction, has a dome placed on four columns in the main prayer area. There is a minaret with a double balcony and cut stone masonry in the northwest corner. On the base of the minaret, it is written that Zaralı zade Lütfullah Pasha had the minaret built in 1809.
