Zara Historical Great Bath

Zara District center is in Kızılırmak neighborhood. The building, which has the characteristic of a typical Ottoman Bath, was built by Sivas Governor Hacı Ahmed İzzet Pasha in 1870.

The building was made of cut stone, and the cold room was covered with sheet metal, which is understood to have been made later. The main entrance door was closed over time because it was below the road level, and a new door was opened on the side. It has cold and warm sections with a navel stone and a small pool. It is still used.
