Akhisar Mustafa Kirazoğlu State Hospital

In Akhisar district, there was a hospital called “Ispetalya”, which was established and operated by the Greek minority before the Republic. The first hospital belonging to the Turks was built in 1893 by Selimzade Ahmet Ragıp Bey, one of the notables of Akhisar, in the Paşa Neighborhood, next to the Paşa Mosque. During the Second World War, the building called the pavilion, which was built by Ragıp Bey in 1891, was purchased and the hospital was moved to this building. At the beginning of 1950, the foundations of a new hospital building were laid in the same place. A modern hospital was established, and in the following years it took its current form with 178 beds. In 2007, it started to serve in its new and modern service building with a capacity of 140 beds. Later, the bed capacity increased to 200.
