Bartın State Hospital

In 1930, it was put into service as a 30-bed hospital in the building where the current Industrial Vocational High School is located.

The hospital, which started to serve with 50 beds by moving to the old Public House building in Kırtepe Mahallesi Arifler Street in 1954, reached a capacity of 100 beds with the additional building built in 1964 and 150 beds with the other additional building built in 1991.

The new hospital service building, the construction of which started in 1992 in Ömertepesi, was moved in 2005, and service is still provided in this building. As of 2007, a part of Turgut Işık Health Vocational High School was put into service as an additional polyclinic building. In 2009, the Provincial Chest Diseases Hospital and in 2011, the Provincial Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital merged with the Hospital, and as of today, its bed capacity is over 450.
