Denizli State Hospital
The first activity to build a hospital in Denizli started in 1913 under the leadership of Mufti Ahmet Hulusi Efendi. At the end of these studies, the hospital was opened in 1919. The first chief physician was Kerim Bey from Crete. In 1924 and 1927, 25 beds were added to the hospital, which was opened with 50 beds. In 1933, our President Atatürk visited the hospital. In 1950, the hospital, whose name was Denizli State Hospital, was separated from the provincial special administration budget and connected to the general budget. Despite the additions, the hospital, which could not meet the needs, was moved to its new 400-bed building in 1972. Denizli State Hospital is one of the important health institutions of our region with its 800 bed capacity.
