Düzce University Research and Application Center

Our hospital; It started its activities in 1996 with the transfer of Chest Diseases Hospital belonging to the Ministry of Health in Konuralp to Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Medicine. The capacity of the hospital, which had 90 beds at its establishment, increased to 180 beds in 2002 with the addition of an additional building with 90 beds. It was established as Düzce University with the Law No. 5467 published in the Official Gazette No. 26111 dated March 17, 2006. With this law, our hospital, which was in the structure of Abant İzzet Baysal University, was included in Düzce University.

After this date, our hospital has shown a rapid development in terms of academic and administrative staff and physical facilities. Konuralp, the construction of which was completed on February 15, 2009, moved to the 320-bed hospital building in Beçi yörükler. Our hospital has significantly left the physical space problem behind with its 29.000 m² service building, 27,000 m² of which is the main building and 2,000 m² of the Traditional and Complementary Medicine building, to which it moved on February 15, 2009. Thus, in addition to the high-level tertiary healthcare service it targets, it has become able to provide high-level hotel services. Our hospital, which is developing day by day both physically and technologically, continues to heal its region with its strong academic staff and patient satisfaction-oriented studies.
