Elazığ Fethi Sekin City Hospital

Our hospital started its service in 1945 with the first hospital building built on a land of 35,000 m². The polyclinic building, the project of which was prepared in 1975 and completed in 1980, was added. The building, which used to serve as a maternity and child service, was renovated and still serves as the administration building. The building, which was built in 1960, served as an infectious diseases and psychiatry service. Our building, which was built as a single-storey building at the back of the Chief Physician building in 2000, served as the Eye Diseases Diagnosis and Treatment Center. The 150-bed additional building, the foundation of which was laid in 1998 and consisting of two parts, was put into service at the beginning of 2006. In 2007, the former hospital campus of Fırat University Faculty of Medicine was taken over, and our Nuclear Medicine and Hemodialysis units were established in this area. Sarahatun Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital was connected to our hospital as of December 2008 and served as Physical Therapy Service and Neighborhood Polyclinic. Our hospital, which went through these processes, served as a Training and Research Hospital until 31.07.2018. Within the scope of our state's new service understanding in the field of Health, it has been moved to the City Hospital Building with a capacity of 1038 beds, the construction of which was started on an area of 355.752 square meters with the contract of the Ministry of Health dated 26.08.2014, and the construction phase was completed on 01.08.2018 and continues to serve as Elazığ Fethi Sekin City Hospital.
