Meram Medical Faculty Hospital
University Medical Faculty Hospital was put into service in 1984 as a result of the renovation of the Ministry of Health Chest Diseases Hospital with 400 staff beds. At the opening of the hospital, it consisted of an A Block with beds and a single-storey administrative building attached to it. Apart from this hospital building, D Block, where the student classrooms are located, was completed in 1984 and was put into service together with the hospital.
After the medical faculty hospital was put into service, it was highly sought after by patients from Konya and the surrounding provinces, and it felt the need to increase both its staff and service buildings. In 1985, a total of 272, 657 hospital personnel, 48 of whom were teaching and research assistants, and 158 of them were in the staff of the Ministry of Health, began to provide services. Due to the insufficient opportunities, the help of the citizens was sought and positive results were obtained in this regard.
