Prof. Dr. Yavuz KOCABEY Clinic
Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kocabey was born in Kırşehir, and completed his primary and secondary school there. After that, he graduated from Istanbul Kabataş Boys High School, moved to Ankara for his university education, and studied at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. During his university education, he was interested in table tennis and folk dancing and participated in various activities. Soon after completing his university education, he started to work in Adıyaman Besni State Hospital for compulsory service, and then he started to study at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in Edirne for his specialisation in orthopaedics and traumatology.
During this period, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kocabey developed himself by becoming interested in diving. He completed his compulsory service at the State Hospital in the district of Trabzon, which has the fierce, cute, natural beauty of the Black Sea, and decided to pursue a career in academia.
Yavuz Kocabey started his first academic duty in the field of orthopaedics and traumatology as an assistant professor at Harran University in Faculty of Medicine. He worked at the University of Kentucky (KY-USA) for 6 months in 2001. After then he worked as a fellow at the University of Louisville (KY-USA) for 2 years on sports injuries, including knee, shoulder, and ankle surgery.
During this period, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kocabey has had numerous studies published in international journals. In 2006, he was promoted to associate professor, and began his position at Kocaeli Acıbadem Hospital. In 2007, he was also in Sarasota, (Mi) to research foot and ankle surgery. He became a professor at Acıbadem University in 2013 and serves in his own practice in Terrace Fulya.
