Zeytinli Island

The island, which is approximately 170 meters long and 50 meters wide, was called "Olive Island" or "Olive Island" because of the two olive trees on it. Despite the small size of the rich islet of great archaeological value, during Greek rule the surname was "Kera Pangia". There are very important historical and archaeological artifacts from the late Byzantine period in Zeytinliada. The most important of these works are Ada Church, marble gate, holy spring, underground church, western cistern, patriarch bath, marble bath, tombs, northeast cistern, tugra, middle cave. Evliya Çelebi, the famous traveler of the Ottoman period, speaks of the small Zeytinliada in Erdek Harbor today in his work called Seyahatname: and a healthy body is as if it has found the cauldron of life.”
