Çiğ Lake
Çiğ Lake is a lake located in the Mesudiye district of Ordu province. Its altitude is 1562 meters and its distance to the town center is 23 kilometers. In 2016, the wetland where the lake is located was registered as a "Wetland of Local Importance". It is a freshwater lake, there is no coming or going from the surface. It is a shallow lake and its maximum depth is around 7 meters. Carp lives as a fish in the lake. Since the lake is on the Central Black Sea bird migration route, it hosts many migratory birds. Research has revealed that the lake ecosystem is moderately polluted in terms of organic pollution.
