Gökçeada Underwater Lagoon
Gökçeada Underwater Park has the title of being Turkey's first and only underwater park. The area, which was declared a park by the Turkish Marine Research Foundation (TÜDAV) in 1999, is located in the northeast of the island, between Yıldızkoy and Kuzulimanı. It covers an area 1 nautical mile long from the coast and 200 meters offshore. As of 2020, the borders of the park start from the middle of Yıldızkoy and end at Şelaleli bay. This region also has underwater cave entrances and is a habitat for many marine creatures, including the Mediterranean Monk Seal.
