Kapidag Peninsula

Kapidag Peninsula, located within the borders of Erdek district, has been used as a settlement since ancient times. While the region was originally an island due to being a peninsula, it turned into a peninsula as a result of the filling between the land and the island. 70% of this peninsula consists of forest areas and covers a total area of 300 square kilometers.
