Sarıkum Lake, located approximately 25 kilometers from the center of Sinop, is one of Turkey's hidden nature paradises, with its fine sandy beach and the fascinating longoz forests surrounding the lake, which was declared a nature protection area in 1987 and a 1st degree protected area in 1991. Sarıkum Lake, which is a lagoon lake and where you can enjoy the clean waters in the summer months on its 4 kilometers long fascinating beach, reaches the Black Sea with a connection that goes for 30 kilometers. The lake, which is very rich in terms of endemic plant species and bird diversity, is home to more than 35 endemic plant species as well as 250 different species of waterfowl and migratory birds. Sarıkum Lake, which was formed in the form of a pit with tectonic movements, covers an area of ​​184 hectares and is on the list of places that should be carefully protected by the World Union for Conservation of Nature with its untouched beauty. You should definitely visit Sarıkum Lake and Sarıkum Nature Reserve, where you can go on guided nature trips in all seasons and see every shade of green and blue, to take great photos.
