Pulling Girls Rock

Various legends are told about the "Girls' Rock" located in the Çekerek District of Yozgat. On the way from Çekerek to Zile, next to the Çekerek River, there is a rock built during the Genoese Period, from a high and sharp rock, towards the river and descended by approximately two hundred underground stairs. According to the rumor; those who settled on the high hill to the east of the rock built these stairs to get water from the river. It is also rumored that a Greek Bey had these stairs built for his sick daughter.
