Merik Mansion (Gold Mansion)

The name of the building is MERIK MANSION. It is also known as the Golden Pavilion among the public.
In MERIK MANSION, a rich cultural background is reflected by taking examples of 1000 forms and motifs from the iconic architectures of the Ottoman Empire, palaces, mosques, mansions and mansions.
The purpose of the construction of this special building, which is handcrafted by valuable craftsmen in every detail inside and outside, is to ensure that the Turkish architecture, furniture and life culture of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries are transferred from the capital Ankara to Anatolia and to future generations.
In the museum, hand-carved works made by Abdülhamit II, who was known as a furniture master and ruled the Ottoman Empire for 33 years, thrones of Abdulaziz, guest sets used by Vahdettin in Dolmabahçe Palace, Hacer-ül esved and other items from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Precious accessories and valuable furniture used in ancient Ottoman palaces and mansions can be seen.
It is open to visitors between 10:30 and 16:30, except Mondays.
Entry is free for visitors under the age of 7 and over the age of 65.
For security reasons, it is mandatory to show ID at the entrance.
