Tartan Mansion
Tartan Mansion, located in the center of Karaman, was built in 1810 by Hacı Ahmet Efendi, one of the Tartanzades. The building, which is one of the beautiful examples of Anatolian Turkish house architecture, has a central sofa plan and has two floors. Hand-drawn decorations draw attention rather than wooden decorations at home. On the octagonal ceiling of the first floor hall, there are pictures of the westernization period, such as the Blue Mosque, Dolmabahçe Palace, Maiden's Tower, Mahmut the 2nd Tomb, a wheeled ferry, and a sailing ship. The mansion has not only hosted the Tartan family, but has also hosted intercity travelers over the years.
