Camili Efeler Forest

Pursuant to paragraph 2 of Article 3 of the National Parks Law No. 2873, it was declared a Nature Conservation Area with the approval of the Ministerial Authority dated 24.03.1998 and numbered 273. Efeler Forest is an ecosystem untouched by humans not only in Turkey but also in almost all of Europe. Scientifically, the GEF-II project was implemented in the area. It has Biosphere Reserve Areas and is rich in biodiversity. It is a gene protection basin for the pure Caucasian Bee race. 3200 mm. of annual precipitation and a Rainforest Ecosystem with virgin vegetation rising along deep valleys under the dominance of constant high relative humidity.
