Evliya Çelebi Monument

Evliya Çelebi (1611-1682), who stated that he was from the Zeryen District of Kütahya, traveled for 50 years and collected what he heard and saw in his Travelogue of 10 volumes. Due to the fact that he is from Kütahya, a monument was built in his memory by the Governorship of Kütahya at the entrance to Kütahya from Eskişehir in 2002. When Evliya Çelebi talks about Kütahya in his Travelogue, “The air and water of Kütahya are beautiful, there are no cups, mugs and jugs, bowls and plates anywhere. There are ice-cold waters flowing from more than a thousand rocks in the city. He has many insults and regrets, scholars and fads.” he defined.
