Fasıllar Monument

Fasıllar Monument lies at the western skirt of a hill falling to the south of the village of Fasıllar in the Beyşehir district of Konya, which is located in the Central Anatolia Region. The structure, also called the chapters monument or chapters Hittite rock monument, entered the literature as one of the largest rock monuments in the world. Due to this feature, thousands of tourists are continuously visited during the year. This anode is thought to be about 70 tons of rock. The monument consists of 2.25 x 2.75 x 8.30 meters in size of a giant rock carved into a face of 20 m2 and two consecutive gods and one pair of lions relief on both sides of the bottom of God. The Monument of the Chapters is also similar to the Orthostats in Alacahöyük, which shows that the monument may be made during the fourth Tutalia period.
