Havuzlar Martyrdom and Monument
While travelling on the Kilitbahir - Seddülbahir road, Rumeli Mecidiye Bastion and Seyit Corporal Monument is the point of visit. It was built in 1961 by the Çanakkale Martyrs Aid Association. It was built on 21 June 1915 in memory of Captain Kemal Bey of the 2nd Division and Lieutenant İsmail Efendi of Selanikli, 126th Regiment's aide, and eight soldiers who were martyred at Kerevizdere. The inscription below the monument reads the last words of Captain Kemal Bey, which went down in history. "Let us all run to martyrdom together so that the homeland will be saved"
