İnönü Monument
The construction of the monument, located in the square in front of the Provincial Mansion, started in 1946 and was completed in 1947. Its sculptors are Nejat Sirel and Hakkı Atamulu. Antique white stone was used in the pedestal part. On the four fronts of the monument, there are fully equipped Mehmetçik who participated in the War of Independence, a young sportsman holding a disc in his left hand, a book in his left hand, a student with a torch in his right hand, a male and female farmer in a wheat field, and male figures with hammer and anvil.
