Kökez
Kökez Very Old Fir Forest Nature Reserve is a completely natural habitat and maintains its holistic structure in a healthy way. Within this structure, the dominant natural fir-beech forest consists mainly of Abies nordmanniana subsp. equi-trojani (Kazdağı Fir) and Fagus orientalis (Eastern Beech) individuals. The aforementioned fir-beech forest is densely closed within the study area. There is no work or organization in the area. A protocol was signed with Düzce University in 2020 for the development of resource value inventory, research and monitoring programs of the site and the reports were completed.
