Mimar Sinan Monument
It is located in the garden of the Faculty of Language, History and Geography. It was built by the sculptor Hüseyin Anka in 1956 by the Turkish Real Estate and Credit Bank. Atatürk's words forwarded to the Turkish Historical Research Institute and his words in his own handwriting "T.T.A.K. Make a statue of Sinan. K.Atatürk: Only this bank fulfilled his will, which he wrote as "VIII 1935 at 22.50". The weight of the statue is 7 tons and its height with its base is 4.30 meters. On the front of the marble base, there is a carving inscription: "Architect Koca Sinan 1490-1588, a gift of the Turkish Real Estate Credit Bank to the scientific and artistic community". On its tab, there is a standing marble statue of our famous architect Mimar Sinan (1490-1588), dressed in his unique clothes.
