Ovacik Village Anatolian Chestnut Nature Monument
The sweet chestnut of Ovacik village is an ancient chestnut tree in the province of Izmir in western Turkey. It is a registered natural monument of the country. The chestnut tree is located on the Ovacik Plateau near the village of Ovacik in the Kemalpasa district of Izmir province. It is a sweet chestnut. The tree is 18 m high, 8.70 m in circumference and 2.80 m in diameter.
