Sakarya Martyrdom Victory Monument and Museum
The monument erected in the Martyrs' Kaşı locality of Polatlı District in memory of the soldiers who were martyred during the Battle of Sakarya was opened to visitors on October 28, 1973. Sakarya Martyrs Monument consists of a monument body, sculptures and a museum. The body of the monument starts from the hill at 915 altitude, narrows from the beginning and rises to 970 altitude along a 420-step road. The columns on both sides of the road are a testimony that the war was won against superior enemy forces. At the end of the stairway, there are reliefs and a museum expressing the story of the Turkish Army's victory. In the museum; documents and various photographs of the Battle of Sakarya are exhibited.
