Tabip Captain Hamdi Bey Monument

The incident occurred on 30 August 1922 around the Porsuk Bridge, which is located at the 10th kilometer of the Kütahya - Afyonkarahisar road. Medical Captain Hamdi Bey and his 158 soldiers, who were delivering medicine to the Crew Cavalry Division in Kütahya, were martyred by the 53rd Greek Regiment in this region. It was built on the hill at the Gediz junction by the Kütahya Governorship and the Special Provincial Administration with the contributions of our Ministry. It was opened on 30 August 2010.
